The Danish organisation AOF (Workers Education Association) is looking for project partners from Bulgaria and Poland for a joint project to promote European citizenship (the call deadline is on February 15, 2008).
The title of the project is: “Cross-border Culture for EU-ropeans“
The rationale for the project is that EU–citizens tend to have a fragmented knowledge about the other countries and do not to seek information about EU-national cultures when planning to either work or live part-time in another country.
The programme for the application is: "Europe for citizens: promotion of active European Citizenship" -support for projects initiated by civil society organisations. |

Offer: |
The project will establish a platform and a network/partnership among adult education organisations. The main purpose is to establish a network that will initiate and promote information-activities for EU-citizens travelling to another EU-country. The network will be among head persons for leisure time education institutions who will exchange and improve knowledge about national citizenship and promote activities aiming at the target group considering the main purpose such as working, living or holiday.
The activites in the project will be a preliminary coordination meeting for the project associates to organize the 2 seminars with creative work-shops - 3 activities alltogether.
The project partners are meant to be within the area of leisure time adult education.
The role for the partners are to participate in the work-shops in the seminars and having an interest in developing education/information about national civic society and labour market culture for new citizens. |
